2014 Pedestal Chardonnay

Aged in a combination of new and two year old French oak. Brilliant pale straw colour with a slight greenish tinge around the outskirts and a watery hue. White peach top notes interlaced with traces of dried honey are followed by cashew, light butterscotch, biscuit and spice. Medium bodied the palate shows good balance between its richness, texture and freshness delivering mouthfilling flavours of ripe peach and dried honey over some cashew, light butterscotch, biscuit and spice. Clean dry finish with a moderately creamy textural feel. Long aftertaste of peach, dried honey, cashew, faint butterscotch, biscuit and spice.
Cellar 3-4 years.
