A fruit-forward nose offering some lovely dried pineapple, peach and cantaloupe character that's echoed in the the delivery. Medium sweet, silky, rounded and concentrated; chunks of succulent fruit and nectar are countered by gently warming spices and a fine-tuned tang. A bit like a Thai curry, where the fruitiness keeps popping up to check the heat. Effortless and delicious Mannochmore in a style that's seldom encountered. 283 bottles at 59.7% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... Located on the same site as Glenlossie, this not well known unassuming Speysider produces a rich fruit character that pairs perfectly with a cask with a strong ex-bourbon influence. that's exactly what we have here with a full maturation in a regular hogshead which had been coopered with very active fresh bourbon barrel cask ends. Tasting revealed - marmalade, Bakewell tart and golden syrup.
