2014 Douglas Laing & Co. Provenance Arran 8 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Single cask Arrans abound these days, though not many make it to Australia. Sporting a slightly different presentation to the standard Provenance range, this Arran forms part of Douglas Laing's new 'Coastal series' of single cask, limited editions. It should compare well with the distillery's official 10-year-old release, being smooth and creamy on the palate with spicy summer fruits. 46% Alc./Vol. Non-chill-filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... Nose: There's a freshly cut grass style alongside buttery biscuits and citrus peels. Palate: Thick and creamy with cereals and baking spice balanced by a dry smokiness. Finish: An apple strudel style lingers on sweetly plus salted caramel and toasted oak.
