2014 Ata Rangi Petrie Chardonnay

The Petrie Vineyard now has vines over 20 years old. Brilliant pale straw colour with a slight tinge of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. The nose displays aromas of nectarine and citrus melded into some dried honey characters followed by some light cashew and spicy nougat. The palate possesses good richness and concentration with a moderate creaminess counterpointed by a bright fresh finish. Mouthfilling flavours of fleshy white peaches, nectarines, dried honey and citrus are followed by nougat and a subtle minerality. Aftertaste of white peaches, nectarines, dried honey, spicy nougat and faint minerality.
