2013 Scotchmans Hill Cornelius Chardonnay

Matured in 50% new and 50% 1 year old French barriques for a period of 15 months. Bright straw yellow colour with hints of green to the edges and a very pale straw hue. The nose expels aromas of peach, citrus, dried honey, light toast, nougat and spice. Rich with a sense of creaminess to the mouthfeel, the palate still possesses resounding freshness with flavours of peaches, citrus and dried honey prevalent over a back drop of lemon butter, light toast and traces of cashew. Finishes with a lick of vibrant acidity and a long creamy textured aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
