A blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon and 33% Shiraz that’s been barrel aged in old French oak for 24 months. Impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark red black hue. Nosing yields aromas of blackcurrant and inky liquorice over some earthy vanillin cedar and confectionary. Medium weighted the palate has a combination of blackcurrant and ripe dark cherry flavours followed by some liquorice, earthy vanillin cedar and spice. Slightly chewy tannins but otherwise fine grained. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, liquorice, earthy vanillin cedar and spice.
