An unsung hero of the Scotch whisky world, Glenlossie's fruity, oily spirit is prized for adding texture and balance to blends. Mostly reserved for the Haig Gold Label brand, the only official Glenlossie available is Diageo's Flora & Fauna 10YO bottled at 43% (if you can find it). Consider this Douglas Laing Provenance release a more than acceptable substitute! Ten years old, drawn from one refill hogshead and bottled at a proper ABV without chill filtration. Expect honey, soft oak, and rounded Summer fruits rather than bold flavours. 46% Alc./Vol.

Notes from the bottlers... Nose: Candy floss sweetness, then comes damp oak and orange zest. Palate: A milky cereal style with dried fruits, a citric tang and burnt brown sugar. Finish: Spices linger alongside a rich, oaky character with butterscotch.
