2013 Douglas Laing & Co. Provenance Balblair 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Never a big seller for owners Inver House, in 2019 a move was made to replace Balblair's 'Vintage' dated bottlings with standard age statements (12, 15, 18 and 25yo's). It's a shame that hasn't improved sales or distribution; indeed, Balblair has become another Scotch Whisky brand that's often unavailable in Australia. That made for a logical choice in our latest Provenance shipment. Laings have filled 311 bottles from an x-Bourbon barrel, which should give the distillery's sweet, fruity distillate a good showing. 46% Alc./Vol. Non-chill filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... Nose: Fresh wood shavings, juicy nectarines, and a candied, nutty depth. Palate: Thick and creamy with notes of coconut, honeycomb, and malt. Finish: Gentle lingering spices with a return of the nutty style and barley.
