2013 Douglas Laing & Co. Provenance Allt-A-Bhainne 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Founded in 1975 and owned by corporate giant, Pernod Ricard, Allt-a-Bhainne represents another oddball release from Douglas Laing's latest Provenance shipment. The single malt produced here has (officially) only come to market once, when in 2018, Allt-a-Bhaine was for the first time offered as a lightly peated NAS expression. That bottling is now more or less discontinued. Laings have sourced this youngster from a refill barrel yielding 301 bottles. 46% Alc./Vol. Non-chill filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... Nose: initially mineral style develops to marmalade on toasted brioche and vanilla. Palate: Porridge oats with fleshy mango, honey'd barley and warm rhubarb crumble. Finish: Long. Anticipate a touch of ginger, thick, clotted cream and toasted oak.
