2013 Cousino-Macul Antiguas Reservas Merlot

Opaque black dark red colour with a dark crimson red hue. The nose is led by aromas of blackcurrant and ripe mulberry fruit with a tobacco overlay and underlying earth and spicy cedar. Medium weight the palate possesses abundant richness without sacrificing any of its typical varietal elegance. Mouthfilling flavours of blackcurrant and mulberry are followed by cedary tobacco like characters, a touch of black olive and spicy earth. Very fine grained beautifully integrated tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of blackcurrant, mulberry, cedary tobacco and spicy earth.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
