2013 Coldstream Hills The Esplanade Pinot Noir

Matured in French oak barriques for 9 months. Semi translucent dark red colour with a crimson red hue. The nose displays delicate aromas of violets followed by some dark cherries, strawberry and spicy cedar. Light to medium weight with a meaty mouthfeel the palate features flavours of dark cherries and strawberries intermixed with some dried meat characters and spicy cedar. Dryish finish with solid but fine grained tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of meaty dark cherries and spicy cedar.
Cellar 5-6 years.
