2013 Betelgeuse Shiraz
Matured for 20 months in old French oak. Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of dark plum and liquorice are followed by some some toasty vanillin oak and spicy earth. Medium bodied the palate has generous flavours of juicy dark plums and liquorice over some vanillin oak, faint earth and spice. Slightly dryish finish with fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spicy dark plums, liquorice, vanillin oak and faint earth.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
