2013 Begali Monte Ca' Bianca Amarone della Valpolicella Classico

Opaque dark red black core with a brick red hue. The nose displays balsamic like top notes with hints of sarsaparilla, black plum, earthy dried herb and spicy dried cherries also apparent. Dense, rich and chewy the palate has liquorice and balsamic like elements running through it. Dried cherry, earthy leather and spice on the back palate. Very dry, bitter finish with assertive tannins imparting grip. Lively acidity with an earthy leather, balsamic character, liquorice and spice aftertaste.
