Totally opaque inky black colour with a deep dark red black hue. Intense aromas of black cherries, liquorice and Morello cherries overlay vanillin cedar, dried meats and blackpepper. Full bodied the palate is filled with rich inky black cherry, liquorice and blackberry flavours encased in a relatively tight knit and firm mouthfeel. Nuances of vanillin cedar, subtle meatiness and pepper ensue. Solid firmly built tannins impart some chewiness on the finish. Long aftertaste of inky black cherries, liquorice, meatiness and pepper.
