Matured for 14 months in French and American oak a small portion of Malbec and Cabernet Franc are also included in this blend. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark crimson red black tinged hue. Refined aromatics of blackcurrant, mulberry and mint emerge from the glass over some subtle cedary tobacco characters and spice. Medium bodied and elegantly textured, yet with good fruit richness the palate has flavours of blackcurrant intermixed with mulberries followed by traces of choc mint and spicy cedar. Very fine grained tannins. Medium to long conclusion of blackcurrant, mulberries, some mint and spicy vanillin cedar.
