2012 Vincent Pinard Flores Sancerre

Vincent Pinard is one of the most innovative and dedicated producers of the Loire Valley. He has 10 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc and 2.5 hectares of Pinot Noir, planted mainly on the hard chalky land of the commune of Bué.

Brilliant water like colour with a greenish tinge around the edges and a watery hue. Aromas of fresh herbs are intermixed with some unripe gooseberry, green apple and lime followed by stony mineral end notes. Light and lively the palate features delicate herbaceous gooseberry, lime and green apple flavours over stony mineral. Clean dry finish with crisp acidity. Long aftertaste of unripe herbaceous gooseberry, green apple, lime and stony mineral.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
