Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Nosing offers up aromas of ripe blackberries and liquorice over subtlety toasted vanillin oak, earth and spicy pepper. Medium bodied the palate is amply fruited with dark plum and liquorice flavours which run into some toasty vanillin oak, earth and spice. Slightly dryish finish with fine grained tannins and an aftertaste of spicy dark plums, liquorice, toasty vanillin oak, earth and pepper.
