2012 Signatory Vintage Auchroisk 12 Year Old 100 Proof Edition #52 Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

The first Auchroisk to arrive from Signatory's 100 Proof series, and it looks to be a goodie! Matured in a first-fill Amarone Hogshead & Refill Hogsheads. That rich, red Italian wine influence usually works a treat and should temper the distillery's spicy make. 57.1% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Other reviews... Well at first I couldn’t smell much on the Auchroisk, very locked in but with air and swirling started to open. Mouthfeel was superb typical hogshead oily / viscous , very smooth and can’t believe 57.1% , dark chocolate and cherry , afters wee bit tannin from the wine cask, very pleasant with out being complex and could drink a lot in one sitting !! Be interesting to see how this progresses with time but nice dram. - whiskybase.com
