Aged in seasoned French and American oak barrels. Opaque black dark red colour with dark red black tinged hue. Nosing reveals scents of black raspberry, black cherries and liquorice followed by some confectionary and black pepper end notes. Medium weight the palate has black cherry and liquorice flavours followed by some earthiness and blackpepper. Dryish finish with fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of black cherries, liquorice, earth and black pepper.
