2012 Pindarie Western Ridge Shiraz

Pindarie’s Western Ridge Shiraz is sourced entirely from single estate vineyards on the Western Ridge of the property. Several small batch ferments are conducted to optimise the characters of each sub block and offer blending options with maturation taking place in French oak barrels for 18 months.

A Rich, Concentrated Barossa Shiraz with excellent structural properties

Superb inky black colour with a deep very dark red crimson red black hue. Perfumed scents of liquorice intertwined with ripe blackberries arise from the glass followed by nuances of black cherry, confectionary and subtlety toasted oak. Full bodied and rich the palate possesses beautiful fruit purity with mouthfilling flavours of liquorice, black cherries and blackberries over some lightly toasted vanillin cedar and blackpepper. Robust solidly constructed but fine grained tannins provide excellent support. Long aftertaste of liquorice, blackberries, black cherries, vanillin cedar and pepper.
