2012 Moet & Chandon Grand Vintage Rose Champagne
A buoyant mousse dissipates to reveal a salmon pink coloured base that’s finely threaded by a persistent bead. Jumping out of the glass are notions of cherry, strawberry and blood orange fruits that are pitted against yeast lees and light baked bread notes. Quite full and voluminous in the mouth, the palate is presented with a concentrated flavour profile of cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry fruits which intermingle with notions of yeast lees. Finishes dry and crisp with a chalky mineral character flowing through to the long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Expressive flavors of dried cherry, singed orange peel and red licorice are backed by a firm spine of acidity in this racy rosé Champagne, which is tightly meshed and balanced, with the creamy mousse carrying hints of salty mineral and grilled nut on the mouthwatering finish. Disgorged October 2018. Drink now through 2032.
