2012 Heartland Director's Cut Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured for 14 months in new French oak. Opaque black dark crimson red colour with dark crimson red hue. The nose provides a scented bouquet of blackcurrant interlaced with liquorice and a hint of choc mint followed by some cedar and very light spice. Full boded the palate is packed with an abundance of rich blackcurrant fruit alongside some liquorice and spearmint with underlying spicy cedar. Slightly dryish finish with sturdy but very fine grained tannins. Excellent depth with long mint infused blackcurrant, liquorice, cedar and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 6-8 years.
