2012 Farr Rising Geelong Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark crimson red colour with a tinge of black around the edges and a dark crimson red hue. The nose offers up a complex matrix of aromas including dark cherries intermixed with gamey meat like characters, a hint of anise, clove and spicy cedar. Light to medium weight, beautifully textured, savoury and rich the palate possesses a superb power wave with mouthfilling flavours of dark cherries, subtle clove, gamey characters, cedar and spice. Outstanding length with very fine grained beautifully integrated almost velvet like tannins. Very long aftertaste of dark cherries, gamey dried meat like characters, clove and spicy cedar. An outstanding Burgundian look a like from Geelong.
