2012 Douglas Laing & Co. Provenance Tullibardine 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

After a decade-long closure, Tullibardine was resurrected in 2003 by two former Directors in the Spirits industry, making this distillate a 'new era' bottling. Besides remaining the spiritual home of the famous blend 'Highland Queen', the distillery has gone from strength to strength in the last decade, launching a swag of acclaimed new single malts. Unfortunately, supply is erratic in Australia. Douglas Laing fills the void with 344 bottles from a single refill hogshead. 46% Alc./Vol. Non-chill filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... Nose: Shows an early Italian coffee and cream content, with a later honey sweetness. Palate: Rich - full of candied fruit and liquorice plus a drift of late smoke, and subtle spices. Finish: Attractively piquant, cloves in particular, plus sugar and a gently smoking tail.
