A second darker-coloured release from our Old Particular shipment is this high strength Glenallachie. Judging by the beautiful auburn hue, it looks to be from a single re-fill sherry butt. 415 bottles were filled. 48.4% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
Notes from the bottlers... Nose: Vanilla'd oak and baking spice give way to butterscotch and ginger. Palate: Layers of chocolate and mocha alongside honey'd barley and cinnamon. Finish: Dark berries, dried fruits, juicy plums and more spice linger on and on.
