2012 Dalgety Inchgower Small Batch 11 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

This coastal Speysider is known for its important contribution to Daigeo's blended whisky brands. The team at Lady of the Glen have given it a lengthy two year secondary maturation in Oloroso hogsheads from Hidalgo cooperage in Spain. The result offers a strong influence from the sherry more than the wood including flavours of salted oatmeal biscuits, orange chocolates and cocoa. The finish is lengthened by a flurry of pepper and pipe tobacco before more bitter dark chocolate comes through. Spicy by Inchgower standards, a few drops of water broadens the mouthfeel and accents the richness of the malt. Drawn from two hogsheads yielding 641 bottles at 50.6% Alc./Vol. Non-chill filtered.
