2012 Carlei Green Vineyards Heathcote Shiraz

Totally opaque black dark crimson red colour with a very dark crimson red hue. The nose shows good intensity with fragrant aromas of liquorice, blackberries and black cherries followed by smoky vanillin cedar, a subtle meatiness and blackpepper. Medium to full bodied with good up front fruit purity threaded by a vein of blackpepper that runs from start to finish. Mouthfilling flavours of liquorice, ripe blackberries, smoky dried meats, vanillin cedar and blackpepper. Velvet smooth tannins. Excellent depth finishing with a long aftertaste of blackpepper, liquorice, smoky dried meats, vanillin cedar and spice. A rich, peppery Heathcote Shiraz.
