2012 Atteca Vieilles Vignes Garnacha

Opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red hue. The nose displays black cherry top notes followed by some liquorice, smoked meat characters, earth and spice. The palate has a robust structure and is filled with rich black cherry, liquorice and black raspberry flavours that flood the palate followed by some underlying smoky meatiness finishing with an abundance of spice and pepper on the back palate. Excellent concentration and length. Firm, yet fine grained tannins keep things compact. Very long aftertaste of black cherry, black raspberry, liquorice, some meatiness and spicy pepper.
Cellar 5-6 years.
