2012 Andre Clouet Dream Vintage Brut Champagne

When it comes to Pinot Noir in Champagne, the grand cru villages of Bouzy and Ambonnay rank amongst the greatest in the region. And one of the most talented exponents from here is the Clouet family based in Bouzy. Champagne Andre Clouet have been producing Champagne for over two centuries, and under the guidance of Jean Francois Clouet the wines have never looked better. While his wines are exuberant and concentrated, Jean Francois manages to counter this with immaculate finesse and detail on the palate.

Dream Vintage by Andre Clouet is dedicated to the grand vintages of Champagne. In contrast to their other wines, Dream Vintage is 100% grand cru Chardonnay from their vineyards in Bouzy. Label inspiration comes from the striking colours of Cadillac cars from the 1950's.

Complex toasty and leesy aromas are woven around the rich body of this impressive vintage champagne, which makes a bold statement on the palate, but has a great deal of subtlety. Very long finish with an earthy mystery and great balance. 100% chardonnay. Drink or hold.
