2012 Amisfield Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark red colour with some black around the edges and a dark crimson purple hue. Fragrant aromas of violets, ripe dark cherries, strawberries and subtle anise fill the nostrils followed by some incense and spicy cedar. Medium bodied the palate features superb richness and power with generous supplely textured flavours of ripe dark cherries and plums followed by some subtle anise and incense infusions over some meaty characters and spicy cedar. Velvet smooth tannins. Long persistent aftertaste of dark cherries, plums, subtle anise, meatiness and spicy cedar.
Cellar 5-6 years.
