2011 Tunkalilla Vineyard Eola-Amity Hills Riesling

2011 was an exceptionally cool vintage that produced wines with very high natural acidity. Bright straw colour with a watery hue. Uplifted aromas of ripe apple and lime drizzled in honey are followed by some light oily toast and spicy almond notes. Luscious honeyed lime and red apple fruits have a vibrant feel backed by racy acidity which imparts a remarkable freshness. Lively mandarin, citrus and flinty mineral characters continue the theme on the back half. Superb line and length with a very precise off dry finish and long vivid aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
