2011 McHenry Hohnen Rocky Road Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Opaque black dark red colour with deep dark red hue. Sniffing delivers lifted scents of blackcurrant, mulberry infused with tobacco, dusty cedar and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses bold rich flavours of blackcurrant and dark mulberry against a structured backbone of cedary cigar box, a faint hint of bay leaf and spice. Dry, fine grained tannins provide an assertive presence and excellent framework. Plenty of depth with long blackcurrant, mulberry infused tobacco, cedary cigar box and spice aftertaste.
