Matured for 17 months in French oak. Opaque black dark red colour with dark purple red hue. Nosing reveals scents of ripe blackberry, liquorice, toasty oak, a touch of confectionary and some subtle spice end notes. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses a soft plush mouthfeel with flavours of blackberry, dark plum, a hint of liquorice, some subtle vanillin oak and spice. Velvet smooth tannins with aftertaste of blackberry, plum, liquorice, confectionary and spice.
