Tasting note: [30ml sample] Matured in American oak casks before a finish in select ex-Oloroso sherry casks. An expressive nose; gingery heat alongside malt extract, dark chocolate and hints of blood orange. Brisk and feisty at this middling ABV. Good sherry pick up with early red fruits. Spices inject a bracing intensity at the finish. 47.5% Alc./Vol. 1900 bottles.
Notes from the bottlers... A Christmas Cake style dram, with red fruits and dry spices.
