2010 Te Mata Estate Cabernets Merlot

Deep dark red black colour with dark red hue. Nosing reveals a scented bouquet of violets, blackcurrant, mulberry and some tobacco cigar box like characters with hints underlying cedar and spice. Excellent intensity and complexity. Medium weight with a classical Bordeaux like elegance the palate possesses flavours of blackcurrant integrated with mulberry followed by some cedary cigar box like characters and spice. Very fine grained perfectly integrated tannins provide excellent framework. Long blackcurrant, mulberry, cedar, earth and spice aftertaste.
