Shows very good depth of colour with a deep dark red core, black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Attractively scented the nose offers up lifted ripe dark cherry and dark plum aromas overlaid by anise with some earthy toasty cedar, dried meat and spice notes following. Medium weight with plenty of richness the palate delivers generous flavours of ripe dark cherries and dark plums infused with anise followed by some toasty oak, earth and spice. Excellent power wave with very fine grained velvety like tannins. Finishes with a long aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, dark plums, anise, toasty oak and spice.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
