2010 Ployez-Jacquemart Vintage Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne

A 100% Chardonnay sourced from Premier Cru and Grand Cru districts with a minimum of 6 years on lees.
A lacy white mousse slowly dissipates to reveal a pale straw to pale gold coloured base that’s finely threaded by a steady stream of tiny bubbles. Rich baked bread, citrus and toasty yeast lees aromatics fill the nostrils with some almond and chalky notes also present. Full, generous and creamy, concentrated flavours of brioche, citrus and yeast lees meld into a back drop of honeyed cashew, ginger and roasted almond. Finishes dry with stimulating acidity and a long, richly textured aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
