2010 Peel Estate Old Vine Shiraz

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a very deep dark red hue. Pronounced blackberry and liquorice aromas are overlaid by blackpepper followed by earthy vanillin cedar, hints of leather and spice. Full bodied the palate is filled with black plum, black cherry and liquorice flavours which overlay a backdrop of vanillin cedar, earth, leather and pepper. Bright acidity, perhaps a touch volatile with firmly built tannins showing some grip on the finish. Long spicy liquorice, black cherry, vanillin cedar, leather and pepper aftertaste.
