2010 Peel Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Totally opaque inky black dark red colour with a deep very dark red black tinged hue. Nosing reveals ripe blackcurrant and chocolate bullet scents intermixed with earthy tobacco characters followed by some vanillin cedar and spice. Rich, full bodied and very ripe Cabernet flavours of cassis and liquorice adorn the palate over a background of spicy vanillin cedar and an earthy cigar box character that lingers on. Dry chewy finish with firm, slightly chalky tannins. Aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, liquorice, scorched earth and cigar box.
