Aged in 23% new and 77% seasoned American oak for 2 years. Superb totally opaque black purple colour with deep dark purple red hue. The nose exhibits lifted liquorice allsorts and dark plum aromas with a vanillin oak overlay and some confectionary end notes. Possessing a soft fleshy mouthfeel the palate delivers a generous flavour profile of ripe dark plum and liquorice with a vanillin oak overlay followed by confectionary and some spice. Velvet smooth tannins. Long aftertaste of liquorice, dark plum, vanillin confectionary and spice.
