2010 Brokenwood Cricket Pitch Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz Merlot Petit Verdot

Very deep dark red black colour with dark crimson red hue. The nose is dominated by the Cabernet component with aromas of blackcurrant and mulberry followed by some cedar, earth and spice. Light to medium weight palate lacking the generosity of the 2009 with relatively elegant flavours of blackcurrant, mulberry, cedar and spice. Dryish finish with fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of mulberry, earthy cedar and spice.
