2009 Spring Hills Blewitt Springs Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured for 20 months in predominately older French and American oak. Outstanding impenetrable inky black colour with very deep black crimson red hue. The nose shows some restraint at first with aromas of cassis and ripe dark blackcurrant evolving over a back drop of liquorice, cedar and spice. Full bodied the palate is filled with rich ripe dark blackcurrant and cassis like flavours followed by some liquorice and spicy cedar. Firm, slightly dryish tannins are partially concealed beneath the wealth of fruit. Long ripe inky blackcurrant, liquorice and spicy cedar aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
