2009 Silverwood Estate Pinot Noir

Matured for 14 months in French barriques.Deep dark red colour with dark red mauve hue. The nose exhibits scents of dark cherry and black plum along with some violets and spicy earth end notes. The palate displays good weight with flavours of ripe dark cherries, black plum, spice and earth. Dry finish with slightly chalky tannins with a more abrupt finish than expected.Moderate aftertaste of dark cherries and earthy spice.
Cellar 2-3 years (2014-2015).
