2009 Pikes Eastside Shiraz

Totally opaque, black dark crimson red colour with deep, black dark crimson hue. The nose displays liquorice and aniseed top notes followed by some black plum, toast and spice. Full bodied the palate boasts generous flavours of ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum followed by some toasty spice characters on the back palate. Very fine grained perfectly balanced tannin structure. Fleshy texture with long ripe blackberry, liquorice, spice and toast aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years (2011-2015)
