2009 Kurtz Boundary Row Grenache Shiraz Mataro

Aged for 25 months in older French oak. Opaque black crimson colour with a deep dark crimson hue showing excellent depth for a Grenache based wine. Liquorice top notes are followed by dark raspberry, vanillin confectionary and spice. Medium to full bodied with a plush fleshy mouthfeel the palate features rich liquorice, black raspberry, dark plum and vanillin confectionary flavours with a very spicy finish. Velvet smooth tannins. Long aftertaste of spicy dark raspberry, liquorice, dark plum and vanillin cedar.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
