2009 Douglas Laing & Co. Old Particular Single Cask Bruichladdich 15 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

One of the few Islay malts on offer from Douglas Laing, this Bruichladdich saw 15 years in an x-Bourbon barrel resulting in an outturn of 286 bottles. Tasting notes suggests it's a very gently peated expression. 48.4% Alc./Vol. Non-chill filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... Nose: A barley, malty sweetness develops to fresh vanilla pods and home baking. Palate: Creamy and wonderfully thick - custard cream biscuits with just the perfect hint of earth/smoke. Finish: Lingers on and on - salted caramel with buttery popcorn and a dried fruit style.
