2009 Domaine Mongeard Mugneret Gevrey Chambertin

Semi translucent dark crimson red colour with dark red mauve hue. The nose displays aromas of both dark and sour cherry intermixed with some violet overtones followed by some subtle cedar and spice notes. Light to medium weight the palate exhibits good richness and power with flavours of dark cherry, violet infusions, meaty cedar and spice. Very fine grained velvety tannin structure.Superb palate length with long aftertaste of dark cherry, violet infusions and spicy cedar.
Cellar 4-5 years (2015-2016).
