2008 Stumpy Gully Pinot Noir

This excellent richly flavoured Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir was sourced from vines with an average age of 12 years at yields of 2-3 tonnes per acre and was matured in new French oak for 10 months.

Semi translucent crimson mauve colour with crimson mauve hue. Perfumed nose of violets, Troncais oak and anise followed by just a hint of game displaying excellent varietal character. Medium to full bodied palate displaying excellent weight and richness for the variety. Mouthfilling flavours of black cherry, anise, toasted oak and spice delivering a superb power wave of flavour. Super fine grained, almost velvet like tannins with long aftertaste of anise, black cherry and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
