Matured for 11 months in a combination of 7% new French oak Barriques and 16% one year old French oak Barriques with the balance in older French oak Barriques & Hogsheads.
Deep dark red purple colour with deep dark red mauve hue. The nose is quite perfumed displaying lifted aromas of ripe plum, mulberry and spicy cedar. Medium to full bodied displaying excellent weight and richness. Flavours of ripe plum, mulberry and spice followed by some tobacco and cedar back palate flavours. Fine grained tannins. Spicy mulberry and tobacco aftertaste.Cellar 2-3 years (2012-2013)
