Semi translucent, dark crimson mauve colour with crimson mauve hue. Aromas of dark cherry, cedar and earth with a spice end note. The palate displays good weight with flavours of black cherry, toasty cedar, dark plum and spice. The toast characters being a touch too prominent. Fine grained, slightly chalky tannins with aftertaste of toasty cedar, black cherry and spice.
